You wonder how he could sink so low

While the hour grows late
Still sitting on the floor
You’re weaker than before
Slowly rising to your feet
Wondering why you wanted him to meet
Going to sleep
Thinking on the memories you want to keep
Softly floating away
Go to dreamland you may
