Saying Goodbye
My heart breaks knowing your not around.
The tears fall freely but i never make a sound.
I'll hold my head up high and plaster on a smile.
Soon the eyes stop looking, even if only for awhile.
I could go on forever,
Listing ways of your endeavor,
To hurt me like never before.
And I feel it only right,
To tell you about the night,
When i cried myself to sleep.
All because you hurt me.
This has gone on way too long,
I'm tired of singing this same old song.
So I'll step back with tears in my eye,
And wait for the good-bye.
Before I go tell me this,
Was this your last and final wish?
To say good-bye to a friend,
And let that be the end?
