Black Ink
Your dark heart strings me along,
Tells me there’s a chance.
I thought you were right for me,
But we’ve made the rounds.
Each time you let me go
My heart cracks deeper
Yours does nothing, but drip
The inky blackness that is your love.
You care for no one,
Only yourself.
Your half-hidden lies don’t
Mask who you are.
Despite all you have done
The whisper of your love
Draws me near.
My patchwork heart begs to be shattered.
Surrounded by the lies of your loving heart,
Until the ugly black ink writes the truth
Again.
