Her Name
I can’t seem to get my hand to move,
Fingers paused waiting for commands,
‘Hi’ such a tiny word with a large impact,
But it’s so hard to start a conversation.
I can’t seem to get my hand to move,
Pencil poised barely above the paper,
Such a meager motion to create words,
But so hard to write you a goodbye.
I can’t seem to get my hand to move,
Wrapped inside of your own,
Small step towards something larger,
But so hard to tell you ‘No’.
I can’t seem to get my hand to move,
Crushed beneath your weight,
Being a breath away from you,
But so hard to push you away.
I can’t seem to get my hand to move,
My name is repeated along with results,
Such a microscopic little angel,
But so hard to admit to it.
I can’t seem to get my hand to move,
You walk away into the distance,
Puny efforts wont get me anywhere,
But it is so hard to keep you around.
I can’t seem to get my hand to move,
Energy is drained along with my spirit,
Only can manage one teeny word,
But it is so hard to name her, Alone.
