Raindrops
As the raindrops fall before my face
All I think of is you, the one man
That showers me with his love
The man that holds my heart so
Strongly in his temple of trust
In this horrid, terrifying world
Filled with convicts, hate, and lies
Within you I find comfort, love, and care
A warming, compassionate look in your eyes
Serving me protection from my fears
I lie down in bed and stare out my window
I look to the stars but I see none
I look to the trees but birds I see none
I look to the streets but civilization is gone
I look within me and I find you, my heart
As the raindrops fall before my face
And the thunder rolls at a far away place
I retreat to my home, to my room, to my bed
To find some type of comfort that reminds me of you
Because at the moment, "I love you," can only be said
