Caterpillar Me

In my past I was a caterpillar,
Waiting for my wings so I could fly,
Fly higher than the sun and past the Heavens.
To soar through the clouds and above the sea,
Traveling farther than my wildest dreams.
In my future I am a butterfly,
Spreading my wings for the first time.
A speck of red in the baby blue sky.
Ready to sail across the ocean view.
Creating a vast of different hues.
