The Sister God Forgot to Give Me
When I need you most
You are there.
When I need a helping hand.
Yours is there to lend
When I need a shoulder to cry on.
I know I can go to you.
For you are the one I always look to.
We listen to the same music.
We have the same sense of style.
We talk the same way.
And at your house I always stay.
It’s my home away from home.
With a family I call my own.
I don’t know what I’d do,
If I didn’t have you.
Life would certainly be dull.
And my heart would never be whole.
You are a shining star,
One that is never very far.
We talk all night and day.
And somehow we never run out of things to say.
We laugh until we cry.
Half of the time I don’t know why.
It’s a private joke between you and I.
Thanks for being there for me.
Especially when I need you most.
I can’t wait to take that trip.
The one from coast to coast.
This friendship will never die.
If so I will surely cry.
You are the sister I never had.
The one God forgot to give me.
And it is really too bad.
That our journey is about to end.
But I know you will always be my friend.
