The Rain
The rain left puddles on the streets;
And water stains on her cheeks.
She is just a reflection of the storm;
Seething with rage below the wind.
Veins running thin beneath her skin;
For she is dead in the sunshine;
Traveling on the wings of a nightmare.
In a dark sea wandering cold among time;
Trapping herself between the fabric waves.
Going where no one can follow,
To where the rain is falling,
And to hide in the shadows.
