The Monarch
As quickly as I come to exist,
I will cease to exist.
The world remains forever large and wondrous.
And I was a child mere days ago.
The flowers held a virgin sweetness I have never met again.
But now,
Now I must go.
My children must stay.
It is a shame that we will remain strangers to eachother.
Our aquaintance only in their existence.
My only heirloom to them is the rest of my journey.
