Flight
Come live with me and be my love,
And we will fly, so far above
Seek the ground beneath our wings
And learn of all their sacred things
Meet the people of another land
One whose meeting we had not planned
Show them ways, unlike their own
Making cherished what was not known
Beneath the ground these people dwell
They know the land so very well
Tools the like you’ve never seen
And another place you’ve never been
Forest people that call this home
The world outside was all unknown
They live with all of nature’s beings
They see the world without hidden meanings
Creatures that seek only ingenuity
The people all without continuity
They think this world is all their own
Their life, their home is just a dome.
They, the people, who seek to grow
Have so much they do not know
Making, Living, Forever thinking
All they know is but an inkling
A time not far and growing near
Bout a power they all should fear
This thing that comes brings much destruction
Alone they fall to this great obstruction.
They might have triumphed
They might have stayed
But alone they stood
So alone they laid
