Crimson Tears
I walk along the cliffs,
Above the sea of my soul,
Secure in the darkness of the night,
But alone in the emptiness of the starlit day.
Forgotten by the fullness of joy,
I lay hidden in the brambles of death,
Looking through the window of time,
I fall sinking away from the light of life.
Yet deeply set in the icy fire of love,
I am held lifelessly from the truth I so desire,
Trying to sing of the sweet breath,
I run in the endless circle of the past.
