Can't Forget
“I’m over him,” I tell myself
But then night falls and my subconscious takes over
And he’s there.
Standing by me, whispering sweet words of comfort
And I want him.
I don’t want to but my heart can’t help it.
I run from him
And he runs after.
I trip and stumble until I reach blackness
And there he finds me,
He gathers me in his arms
And I sink in,
Feeling that love one last time before dawn.
