beauty as i see it
Beauty.
It isn't face-lifts or inplants.
It's the wrinkles on your grandfathers face,
The stretch marks on your mothers stomache.
Markings that people today would consider flaws.
What do you see?
Do you see the billion dollar supermodel as beautiful?
Or the old jewish woman who lost her family to Concentration camps?
Anorexic-looking girls at photo shoots,
or the man who survived cancer?
To see what these people have made it through,
thats truly beautiful.
I know it's tacky to hear that it's whats
inside that counts,
But when you see these people,
dont be so quick to judge.
You'll be amazed at what you find beneath the surface.
The woman who lost her husband in the war,
but supports her family on her own.
The little boy who has more health problems
than his mother can count,
yet wants to be a doctor when he "Grows up".
Yes, even the ex heroine-attict that made it
through rehab and emerged as a changed man.
All the markings left on these people
from the battles they fought and won...
I don't see them as flaws.
Their battle wounds are exactly what makes the beautiful.
Wrinkles, Scars, Gray hair...
Pain, Stress, and Sorrow.
Beauty isn't always something that
you can see with your eyes.
Somethimes,
It's something better left to be felt by your
Heart.
