Blind
Our love was a powerful book,
filled with words that you didn’t comprehend.
All I ever did was write and write in it.
All you ever did was watch me write,
but I guess writing it just wasn’t enough for you.
I opened it for you and
I gave it to you.
All you did was stare at it,
your face expressionless.
Your eyes questioning this book.
And now as I watch this book burn,
I realize that you’ll never see what you’ve done to me.
