I Am Made
A flag
 A name
 A home
 Sure, they make me
 But what sets me apart?

 Third culture kid
 Longing for expression
 Confused by peers
 And high school.

 I am made
From the girl who pushed me away
 Close friend
 Rejected
 Don't know why

 I am made
 From words
 From thoughts
 From a mind open to
 Capturing
 This world

 I am made
 From mistakes
 From lessons
 Not taught in class

I am made of a dream,
 A hope for the future
To make a mark on this world

I was made from my parents
 But in turn
 I made myself.
