Chapter I
I walk down the beach.
there's a hole in the sand.
I take a shovel
and I cover it up.
Now nobody will know
it was ever there.

Chapter II
I walk down the beach.
There's a hole in the sand.
I take my shovel
and I cover it up.
Nobody will ever know.

Chapter III
I walk down the beach.
The hole still has some
sand left from
the last time I was here.
But I take my shovel
and add more sand anyway.
Nobody can know.

Chapter IV
The hole is overflowing
from all the times I added sand.
It begins to shudder
then collapses on me.
Everybody knows.

Chapter V
I walk down the beach.
There's a hole in the sand.
I walk around the hole
and throw my shovel in the water.
Everybody knows
but it doesn't matter.
