a rose
so delicate and fragile
yet so well
guarded by those ever vigilant
thorns
preventing anyone coming close

why is it i connect most with roses
and not people...

this was inspired by my break up with my first love. he said it was like dating someone looked behind a wall. he could never get close to me...
