Rainbow Paper
Music blares,
pounding,
consuming me as I
sit
on the soft bed,
at the
hard,
wooden
dinner table,
pencil in hand.
Every beat rattles,
boom,
boom,
boom.
Consuming me like a
blazing fire,
burning
through
my
veins.
Every thought
struggles
against the brick wall
encasing,
trapping,
saving
me.
Penned words
flutter
through the air like
moths,
climbing
and
dipping,
but always
flying,
setting me soul
free
like a
caged bird
liberated
from it's golden prison.
Each
thumping,
pounding
beat
worms it's way
deep,
deep,
deep
into my dreams,
and buries itself
like a small
musical
seed,
ready to grow
with each
tap
tap
tap
of an Ivory or Obsidian key.
My soul
pours out,
staining the
off-white paper
