Strawberry Shampoo
You walked into the kitchen
while I was washing dishes,
and said;
"I'm going out."
I wanted to ask you where,
but I was afraid of the answer.
So, instead, I dried my hands on
a green checked towel,
and asked for a hug.
You gave me one,
and said goodbye.
I remember that your hair smelled
like strawberries,
and I wasn't sure
if you'd ever come back.
You didn't.
