"A Melody for yin"
Everyday the caged bird sings,
A harmonious melody that brightens the darkest of nights.
From dawn to dusk.
being optimistic, difficult, but he must.
Every evening he stares out the window,
stares until the light is drained from the sky.
In hopes to soar high.
But there are moments of flaring insanity,
pecking at the cage door,
beating his wings against the jail-cell bars
Frantic attempts of freedom, in a nervous panic.
hoping to spread his wings to feel her warmth,
and to feel her wind beneath his wings.
He hopes to fly and command the sky,
like yang, the dragon.
And to soar with her...yin, the phoenix.
In ever lasting tranquility, as the sun and moon
And as the routine goes, dusk drowns the sun below the edge
He will see yin soon...
...Everyday the caged bird sings.
