Monkeys Who Love Bananas

They are loud speaking only to themselves,
and joyous with their happy language.
They throw the peelings in the dirt and reach for more
As if this was their first or they had been starved.
The sweetness makes them wild and crazed.
When they eat the banana it’s like watching a young couple marry.
Their spirits combined forever in the sweet center of a ripe banana.
