A CUTER COUPLE
Treading on dirty needles,
Infections aside
Burnt Fingers to burnt fingers
Laced and held on tight
They walked with disease
Followed by the ghosts of unborn children behind
And they fought with society
For they were denied.
They kissed with passion,
Bitter with addiction.
Tongues lingered with lust, love and loathing.
In their highs and conjured realities,
They looked deep within vacant eyes,
And they realized to love…
Meant to die.
The darkness prevailed
No God for us all
Just love and disease
A long winding fall
***
So now as I stand here,
Shadow cast on their grave,
I now understand,
They were a cuter couple that hell gave away.
