Rushing
Rush, rush, rush,
Always in a hurry.
But why so fast?
Are they running late?
If not, why do they zoom by?
Have they stopped lately?
To smell the roses?
To ponder a thought?
Why can't they just
slow down?
It's not as if they will lose their
life if they are late once.
Why don't they stop to care for someone?
The sick, homeless, or needy.
Why can't they stop for someone
who just needs a friend?
Are they afraid? Afraid of what?
Zoom, zoom, zoom.
The cars rush by.
Not even stopping for a world that
has been passed by.
