The blows keep coming
Leaving me breathless

The tears have stopped flowing
Leaving me hollow

I need this to stop
Please don’t go

This is torture, undeserved
Please just let it be okay already

One of the most important people in my life,
Gone
Please, not you too

Life is unfair, I know…
But still, I must ask why

This can’t be happening again
My soul is being ripped from my body

I want to stay whole
I need you to be well

Prayers seem unheard
His presence unfelt

I am alone
I feel helpless and lost

This was for a friend who had just lost her dad and it seemed at the time like everything was falling apart and out of nowhere another close family member got into fatal accident
