Sydney Said
Sydney said
"save me from solitude"
so she got on that plane
and flew to France
And within her voice
you could see
the hourglass being eaten
with her beige blood thinning
dripping like spring melting the
glaciers that cut through hot, hot rock
millenniums before human craniums
had the thoughts such as this
So she got on the plane;
escaping away on the clock's final breath
lightened by the sand that glided down her glass bones
like sunshine tears
and dead butterfly wings
her fertile mind
and no nascent things
consuming the visions
that seep through that sunset smile
And as she now sits
hissing at the universe
at the people slipping by
that blow away
like her cigarette smoke
Sydney said
"save me from solitude"
