My Time
I lay in here in the thickness of the night
It doesn’t have a name but doesn’t seem right
Examine them closely
Make it out slightly
I see my name shining under the shimmering stars
And the life below isn’t so far
Finding love in a life full of regret
It’s difficult but easy to forget
But when the lights go off
And the curtain falls down
No sign of remorse
Will come even close
A black light shows the pity of our sorrows
And the darkness is what follows
Dancing in a room full of nothing
Seems to mean something
But only to me
Force myself to leave and see what I could be
My name it’s my own
I swear it would be shown
Enter a life I want
A life that can’t be bought
My name shining as bright as the moon in the sky
It’s my time
Mine
