Through My Eyes
I'm not always right
I in fact rarely am
Just look in my eyes
And see confusion
I'm smart, but clueless
I'm strong, but afraid
Never truly ready
Constantly dreaming
When it rains I smile
When the sun shines I laugh
It doesn't depend on the weather
What my emotions really are
I would sing not knowing how
I would dance with two left feet
It doesn't matter
So long as I feel alive
My heart ever beating
In rhythm with tear drops
My eyes swelling with longing
Revealing my weakness
The mind of a girl
The heart of a woman
Where I know much
There is much I know not
As inconsistent as the moon
Ever changing my mind
Looking at the world
Through starry eyes
So young and lost
In a jungle of danger
Yet I survive
In this flawed world
See the sky
See how it changes
The atmosphere a mood ring
Black to blue with the Sun
All things fade
All with time
Including memories
So cherish every moment
I'm a girl
Indeed
With the heart of a woman
And love, warmer than summer
