Raised voices, breaking glass
Whimpers of fear
Nothing new is being said,
Changing the situation
Into something better.
Creeping down the hall
See her crying
See him yelling
Tears running down her face
Sneak back, shaking
Sit in bed, sobbing
Crying into the pillow
To muffle the sounds
Scared for something
That has no words
Unknowing, sleep came
And morning, like always.
Like nothing happened.
The painful cycle,
Never ending.
