Parallel Worlds
A dust devil, obscuring the red sun,
Flies steadily over the desert plain.
A blizzard, obscuring the blue sky,
Flies steadily over the mountain peak.
The people down below look up,
Their skin cracked from heat and parched from thirst,
Praying for the blessing of a blizzard.
And the people up above look down,
Their skin frozen with cold and soaked with snow,
Praying for the blessing of a dust devil.
