Free At Last
It is all I think about.
At night I dream of summer.
My heart augments at the thought of school being over,
That final bell will be the happiest moment of my life.
I can almost feel the water on my skin.
I will be outside and never come in.
I’ll travel all around.
Doing whatever I want, consorting with my friends.
I’ll have time just so I can waste time.
No more school for at least two months.
For a short time I will be free;
I will have a chance to be me.
