Diversity
South.
North.
East.
West.
Some accents are
More similar than
Others.
Some cry out, “Why me?!”
Others scream, “Por que mim?!”
Southerns say, “I’m gunna get her sum food.”
Northeners say, “I’m going to get her food.”
Teens text to their parents, “Idk?”
Their parents text back, “What is that?”
In Spanish
It’s “quien”
And in French
It’s “qui”.
Some break the rules
Because they know they can.
Others break the rules
Because it’s the way they speak.
So what is the right way?
And, what’s the wrong?
Different people,
Have different answers.
And with that in mind,
That makes writing diverse.
