Your Disguise
Pain,
Tears,
They go hand in hand
Kind of like how I wish
Our hands could be
You know.
Hand in hand
Or maybe you don’t
You know, know
Are you really as oblivious as you seem?
Or is your pretend ignorance your way of telling me nicely
Get away from me; I’m never ever going to be with you?
Well it’s not nice
It’d be nicer if you were the jerk
Who says what he means
No little white lies
Only honesty
Only the facts,
Cold hard facts
Say what you feel
Plain and simple
It’s easier that way
If you stop pretending to be nice
Then I won’t have to endure the pain
Of believing you to be The Nice Guy
The Guy of My Dreams
If you could never love me
Then just say so
Yell, shout,
Scream at me to go away
Because you’re only making this harder for me
Harder for me to stop loving you
And your nice guy disguise
