I Write These Lines Upon Visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
The sacrifice they made,
the pledge they took.
The pride for their country,
the promise they kept.
Soldiers fight for us
every day that we exist.
We do not take notice,
we do not care.
Day to day we live.
We think of our future,
they think:
Will I have a future?
Soldiers deserve so
much more from us.
We respect and honor them,
but not nearly enough.
Take the time to
realize, that someone
you do not know,
someone you will never meet,
is out fighting for you,
risking their life,
for merely your freedom.
Look at their grave,
apologize.
Bow your head for them,
pray.
Think of them
as you go living your life
in your Ferrari.
Cherish them.
Love them.
Honor them.
Take pride in them.
Be one of them.
We are the future
soldiers of America.
Soldiers are the
Heart and Soul
of America.
