My hand aches
If I cant write
My brain thinks
In poetic forms
What does this make me?
My stomach curls
If I don't hear
New stories and poems
Everyday of my life
What does this make me?
Words form in my mind
And travel through my body
To my hand
To my pencil
What does this make me?
Words on my paper
Thoughts on my mind
I know what I am
I am a creator,
I am a poet,
I am a story teller,
I am memory keeper,
but most of all,
I am a writer.
