Leap of Faith
A hundred days and a hundred nights
Nothing but silent thoughts
I stand by you, but hold my tongue
Soon the day will surely come
I sit and cry while he drives away
A new state, a new city, a new home
But it's all the same for me
While i sit with my silent thoughts
I constantly sit and stare at a blank screen
While you hang out with friends
Forgetting what once was ours
And i stand alone giving up hope
The day of summer comes
That I'll see you again
And i primp and i prim
Today's the day i take my leap of faith
You stand there, older and wiser
I stand shaking in my steps
You look at a girl you barely recognize
While i whisper the words, "I love you."
