Breaking Silence
i am talking to you
you are all gone
i can hear a steady beat inside my head
the blood pumping in a rhythm through my mind
over and over again
like an invisible source of powerful energy
hidden somewhere far too hard to find
or like an unexpected corruption
the thought of something murking in the darkness
unknown and barely there
but you can feel it
it's haunting breath surrounding you
filling you with silent horror
silent fright
like a shadow of something that isn't there
or a voice breaking the boundaries of perfect silence
Screams like crashing glass
tearing apart that peaceful fright
your glad.
through the icy sweat beads on your forehead
you're relieved because you feel
you are no longer utterly alone
it's presence made a show
and something else is with you
through thick, sticky darkness
icy cold sin
it's burning presence seems to barely warm the air
you wrap yourself in the thought
of human warmth
of human love
although most likely
it's just an illusion
and you are probably still utterly alone
frozen yet undead
waiting
waiting
waiting
for something to once again shatter
the silence
