Why You
You left this place in a horrible way
Your life was still undiscovered
You had so many things ahead of you
It was the start of a story that had just begun
The pages are now left empty
The pages where torn away
Every year March 26 comes
I am over filled with the grief
That day plays back in my head over and over again
As if it was yesterday
It’s been over four years now
I remember everything so clearly
I remember seeing you leaned over a couch
In tears, saying “It hurts “
Watching you suffer killed me
You were my best friend
Not only my friend, my sister
Everything happened so fast
I didn’t know what to do,
I didn’t know what to say
I told you I would be there the next morning
I told you I was going to be there for you
And that I loved you
The next morning came
Your father in tears, at my door step
“She’s gone, she died last night
I tried CPR she didn’t make it” he said
The world around was still in my eyes
As if everything was in pause
Everything was filled with pain
My heart was broken into pieces
Couldn’t believe you were gone
Your father said you were yelling for help
You were alone
You were scared
Help came too late
I should have been there for you
Like what a sister suppose to do
But I let you down
Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you
And what could have happened
If I was there
