Wonder
Two words
Words I’ve never heard
Heart, but not meant.
“I understand.”
Those words,
As I stared into dark eyes
Mirroring mine,
Caught my heart in a vise.
A lock of hair falls
Cutting his concentration
But the hypnosis remains
Typing my soul to his.
I couldn’t break the spell
Because I had found
Someone
Finally
Who had delved into the dark caverns of my mind
And found himself.
And he didn’t run
He didn’t worry
He just held me, wrapped in is arms
A babe
Cradled ever so close
And he understood my tears
The tears launched by the wonder
The amazement I felt
Upon finding someone who cared.
