Prism
It’s so easy to see
Life through a prism
Take each thing
Hold it up to the light
And you’ll get back a rainbow
Each different color
A judgment engraved in sulfur
Dust and decay a new wonder-
But you try and justify
Say you can’t see from that side of the glass.
Oh, what twisted magic,
Lures you in.
I’m just one of your pretty colors
That draws you back every time
Take a deep breath
‘Cause its alright
If you break my side
They say it’ll be just fine.
But maybe if you decide
Later on look at those white lights
Before they’re dried
And tell me if they look the same
On that side of your prism.
Take a deep breath
‘Cause it’s alright
If you break my side
They say it’ll be just fine.
