The Giver
The cool breeze calls to me
Telling me to see this majestic tree
 Creping birds lead the way

I see a large trunk that has endured much over the years
And a perfect little spot to sit beside it and hide from the sun and think
Branches filled with leafs reach down for me to touch, for me to hug

Its bark taste of fresh water collected through the years
This tree is strong and stands tall like a brick wall
Its delicate roots must be cared for like a baby
It gives life to us as if it were our mother

This wondrous tree never stops giving
With nothing asked for in return
 It never stops caring
 It just keeps giving
