it scares me.

remembering when we ran down the dirt road,
hanging out at the bridge
because you didnt want to go home.

laughing, stealing my lunch that I paid for,
because you spent your lunch money on Monday.

singing to the karioke machine,
loud and off-key,
playing the piano beautifully.

passed out on the kitchen floor
a towel around your face,
can't sit up because of the pain
while the ambulence is on it's way.

because it scared me.
