Devastate
Staring up at Grecian ruins
Crumbling pillars that once
Meant so much
I ran outstretched palms
Along the jagged edges
Too hard,
Breaking skin,
Dripping, dropping
Blue-black blood
Steaks, collides
With yellow rimmed bruises
Along young legs, young hips, young lips
Smearing and smudging the angles of
An innocent body,
My body
Stolen from the safe
Torn.
Beaten.
Broken.
While fractured eyes
Gaze up again
To watch the pillars
Reform and form
Incorrigible.
