Ode to the Ocean
White foam laps at the white sand.
Sand so fine, it's like a soft pillow.
Waves crash into shore repeatedly.
Cool salty air wafts throughout the day,
as the sky slowly darkens.
Sunset beyond the horizon,
beautiful,
indescribable.
A ball of orange glistens,
a tear,
it has to leave the wonder for a while,
to rest.
So it can shed some light tomorrow,
to all the free-spirits of the world.
The ones who see the ocean in all its glory.
The lucky ones.
Blue-green whispers into souls,
"Don't leave me," It says,
"Stay forever."
The tide pulls in and out,
pulling hearts with it.
The love of the ocean.
