Bright and blinding
What is this?
Blurs in the windshield
Where am I?

Stillness in a new place
Grass in at eye level
Voices yelling
Glass shattered

Coughing up red splatters
This is the end
I know it
All I see is red

A yank
A tug
I lay counting the stars
Instead of regrets

The tapping of nurse’s shoes
Sudden silence
Sudden darkness
Just like before

How’d she survive?
A lab coat says
How will she live?
