The Living Flame
The flickering flame
warmer than a sip of hot chocolate
breathing living regenerating
climbing trees and leaping branches
it will speak to those who listen
forever fleeing from flowing rivers
sparks fly like the dust from and old pillow
releasing the old to make room for the new
planting the precious seeds in the soil
a flame is as alive as a dead bug is not
