Anywhere is better than here
To soar
Careless above the world
Held down
Drowning in this sorrow
All I want
is to be a
Bird
To break free
Feel real power
To feel
Know what it means to be alive
To leave
And never return
Suffocating here
at your hands
All I want

Bird
To breathe
Fresh air in my lungs
To discover
All that is new to me
To be free
No one to impress
Chained here
