The pictures of you
And me
Across my room
Make me cry
Tears that are not spilled
Because of yourself
They are spilled because
I love you
And realized
I must give you up
For someone else to love
But how can I
When I am tethered to your
Soul from every corner
Of my light
And beauty, in your
Eyes as you say
And your eyes always bring
The joy into my
Humdrum life
And that is precisely
The reason I cannot
Have you
Because you bring me so
Much joy, it
Causes my pain.
