A Voyage
Found in a lonely bottle, aside our boat,
I cast the net outward, to see what suspended afloat.
Faded ink filled it, from waters spilling in.
Replacing the sorrows of other empty bottles with a grin, inside was a note.
From foreign lands it came, for Spanish I could not read.
But every man comes with heart, as every conquistador a steed.
I’ll find my lost treasure on a voyage, up the shoreline and along the coast.
For in the bottle it says I love you in an unread note.
