Lives of Light
Sunlight is the food of envy
Breeding characters from visions in the night
Lives that sketch the delicate balance
 Of bone on bone
How far we will go to screw in bolts that allay our fright

 Shadows call our skin away
Creating murals which swallow decaying flesh
Leaves us leaping to stamp fresh prints
And we lick the ink 'till it tints our breath

 Lamplight drives the pen insane
Burying every word in the paper every voice that clouds the mind
 My body swings to automatic
The pen guides me safely inside

 Towards blazing chambers
Where I beg to live a part of my own mind
 Envy characters born in sunlight
Ones who collapse bone if left behind

I like the mature writing style in this, but there doesn't seem to be much of a meaningful message, only a hint of a story. If you want to write a story of a poem you should have made your ideas a bit more clear to the average mind (namely mine). But nice poem anyway.
