A memory hiding in the back of my brain
I never would have thought that something so hurtful would come back again
All you had to do was see the look in my eye
See the pain that I felt
And you said nothing but goodbye
I understand that I am nothing more
The a nucent that you would kick out the door
But I was your friend and you was my shoulder
But you turned away when god said hold her
So in the dark I will pan out my life
All alone with a light on my side
Showing me the way that you had insight
But you my dear was to scared to help with the fight
